SACRED VALLEY CONNECTION TO MACHU PICCHU 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

DAY 1: SACRED VALLEY (CHINCHERO TEXTILE CENTER+MARAS MORAY+SALT MINES+OLLANTAYTAMBO)

Our adventure begins in the Inca city of Cusco. Very early in the morning, we’ll depart for Chinchero, a textile town in the Andes. Next, we’ll explore the Chinchero archaeological site before heading to Maras Moray. We’ll visit the Moray agricultural terraces, considered an Inca agricultural laboratory. The salt mines await us, with over 4,000 artisanal wells, each used by local residents to extract different types of salt, from seasoning meats to medicinal uses. We’ll then travel to the Urubamba Province to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, we’ll explore the fortresses of Ollantaytambo, where we’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), where we’ll spend the night.

DAY 2: MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO

We will begin very early in Aguas Calientes with the transfer to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We will take a guided tour through the main sectors of the urban and agricultural areas, a complete experience for taking photographs. Afterwards, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (optional). Finally, we will board the train back to Cusco.
